About UPLA

As it has been since the beginning, the UPLA mission is simple:

To serve the greater Austin Ultimate community by organizing, promoting and developing the sport and spirit of Ultimate for all ages and levels of competition;

To foster local, regional, national and international amateur sports competition by conducting Ultimate events and by supporting and developing amateur athletes for such competition: and (1) by operating local leagues and tournaments; (2) by maintaining Austin’s Ultimate website; (3) by creating a calendar of events; and (4) by managing the Austin Ultimate list-serve;
To support the development and sustenance of local teams (e.g., adult, collegiate and youth) through coaching and limited financial assistance;
To serve as a resource for the support and development of Ultimate, in general, and by communicating with and linking together other Ultimate associations.
