Choose which item doesn’t belong with the others: A) Mexico, B) Tequila, C) Amigos, D) Fiestas, E) Ultimate
JA! That was a trick question; they ALL belong together. When you think of Mexico, you may not immediately think of Ultimate even though the sport has been played down there since 1982.

Today Mexico has a vibrant Ultimate community comprised of the same type of special, quirky and passionate players you’ll find anywhere Ultimate is played. Mexico hosts an average of 6 tournaments per year including three that may be of particular interest to YOU.
One of these highlighted tournaments is coming up soon and players from Austin are encouraged to grab a disc and make a run for the border. The tournament location is San Luís Potosí, Mexico, a city about the size of Austin. Everybody has heard of Cancun, Cozumel and the other beach-side tourist spots, Mexico City and Monterrey, but I’ve found very few people that have ever heard of San Luís Potosí. Why? Because there ain’t no beach, it’s not the largest city in the world and it’s nowhere near the Texas border. San Luís Potosí is an average city with decent, hard-working people, low crime, traditional Mexican culture and great Ultimate.
YOU really should go to this tournament! I can promise you a unique Ultimate experience unequaled by any other tournament in the world. You will be accepted like family with smiles and hugs. The cost is low and you’ll only need Friday, May 22nd off from work. Make plans starting now by emailing Gary Breaux (breauxgary@aol.com) to have your name added to the “I’m interested” list. Also, read more about the tournament at http://upla.austinultimate.org/slp
