Ahhhh January (more like Brrrrrr). Who made a New Year’s resolution to throw frisbees better?? Personally, I’m going to work on my inside flick and left hand backhand (I’m a righty). Improved disc skills is a goal you surely can keep with all of the pick-up happening around town. Check out the UPLA pickup page for times and locations for everyday of the week.

I want to give some shoot-outs to pick-up games that are currently happening. Goaltimate is the new black and Vanessa Wagner is heading up regular sessions of play. Gary Breaux heads up the Sunday pickup at Zilker Park (though it's mostly on hiatus while Winter League continues). Rachel Palmarozzi has been coordinating Monday and Friday pickup at the IM fields for years now. The Lake Creek and IBM games have also been a regular staple to north side ultimate. I couldn’t mention all of the pick-up games, but thanks to all of you that help run them; we are proudly able to say we have pickup in Austin every day of the week!
