Middle School Ultimate

Ultimate in Austin area middle schools has benefited from the involvement of both Texas, Ultimate! and current adult players who now work as teachers at several area middle schools. Active teams exist at many schools in the Austin area including:

Murchison Middle School
Bedichek Middle School
Kealing Middle School
O. Henry Middle School
Pearce Middle School
Webb Middle School
St. Francis School

In addition to developing the sport at respective middle schools, Texas, Ultimate! has been working with the Boys & Girls Club of Austin to introduce ultimate frisbee to kids involved with their program. Ultimate frisbee fits in with the organization’s goals of promoting sports and fitness as a positive use of leisure time and helping kids learn social skills.

Tournaments for middle school teams (along with some elementary schools) have been conducted over the past several years. Usually, these have been twice yearly events (with one held in the Spring and one held in the Fall).
