Historic Riverside Summer Classic Results

The teams that were seeded in the top 4 all made the semis. On one side, Seuss with its tie-dye tradition and loads of talent played against Riverside 1, while Muffy Love from Louisiana took on the Skrilla Kingz- a young team of UT players that formed for this tournament and this summer - in the other bracket. Both were closely contested games but in the end the teams with more players seemed to fair better in the heat. Riverside 1 and Muffy Love would face up in the finals.

It was a very close game right up until the last few points with the lead trading hands several times. Skrilla Kings with the youngest and biggest team in the division seemed to be holding up more in the heat than any other team had all weekend. Riverside would last have the lead at 12-11 when the Skrilla Kings buckled down and went on a 4 point run to win the game 15-12.

On the coed side, the Cougars from Austin faced off against Burning Mammoth from College Station in the finals. While the teams mostly traded points, Burning Mammoth always seemed to hold a little bit on an edge. In the end, it was Burning Mammoth that won, becoming the first HRSC Mixed Division Champions.
