Summer League Winners!
Summer League 2009 just recently ended for another year. Eight solid weeks were played without any rainouts. Yeah! Though, we sure could have used the rain. The fields may still have received plenty of moisture in the form of player-sweat. It was freakin’ hot like a mutha hubbard out there. Well, mostly just game one. By game two the sun had set and the cool country breezes took over.
Twelve teams battled for six regular season weeks leading up to two-weeks of play-off rounds. Once the dust settled and the sweat dried, (Banana in the) Tailpipe ended the league in 1st place. Among the notables on this team were Co-Captains Dave Street and Will Lafferty, plus Chef Charles Mahle, Tina Woodings, Feathers and Skywalker, Emily Landis, the inimitable Hunter, Billy Norton, and Feathers’ dad, Steve Moore, and newcomer Andy Leffler, to name a few. Congratulations!!!
2nd place was earned by Elliott Murray and Jared Lenow’s team, Autobahn.
