The High School Ultimate scene in Austin is growing rapidly. There are now more than 10 high school teams participating in Ultimate in the Austin area. UPLA has stepped forward to address the needs and desires of this rapidly expanding part of the Ultimate community by hosting 2 Premier high school events each year. The Texas Fall HS Tournament held each October to kick off the school year and The USAU Texas High School State Championship held each Spring. This Spring UPLA will also introduce a high school division to its 2012 Spring League. UPLA is also hosting youth coaching clinics for area coaches interested in becoming USAU certified coaches and teaching clinics for players interested in learning how to play Ultimate or to take their game to the next level. Think your Ultimate game is BIG ? The Youth Club Team is a team comprised of the best of the best high school players from around the Austin area. It's mission is to field only the top high school players to participate in highly competitive Ultimate tournaments. This is NOT a beginner level team so if you think you can hang, bring it. Tryouts are required. For more information contact youthdirector at austinultimate dot org.   

The next big High School Ultimate event will be the 2012 USAU Texas High School State Championship coming up on May 5-6, 2012, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. If your team is interested in competing in the State Championship please contact the USAU State Youth Coordinator at  .
